Having been ill for most of 2006, in November my sister and decided to enter for the London Moonwalk as a means to getting healthier, raising awareness of breast cancer and most importantly raising funds for the organisation. We decided that if we were going to do it we were going the whole hog and applying for the full marathon 26.4 miles!
On the day the applications opened, online applications were full before 10.00am. However, we were determined and immediately downloaded our forms and sent them that day by Special Delivery, along with our £40 entrants fee each.
